Hooray, outdoor play areas are opening!

With the news that outdoor play areas are opening, I hear parents breathe a sigh of relief! Wow, how difficult it has felt to entertain our kids in our gardens without anywhere to visit. So some great play areas are now open:

Rutland Water - fabulous to walk and cycle around. Great for a picnic, and there's an ice-cream van too!

Sacrewell farm - from Saturday 4th July - Initially they're only opening at weekends, with soft play closed but it has farm attractions. You'll need to pre-book, and there are limited visitor numbers available for either a morning or an afternoon session.

The General manager of Sacrewell, Lee Scowen, said:

We are really looking forward to welcoming families back onto the site. We’ve risk-assessed all possible outcomes in order for us to be able to reopen on the weekend of July 4th, in line with advice from the Government and have been working hard behind the scenes to think of fun and creative ways that our visitors can still enjoy a wonderful few hours at Sacrewell Farm.

“In order to do so, we will be capping the number of people on-site at any one time, cleaning thoroughly between sessions and utilising the beautiful outdoor spaces that we have here to create the award-winning experiences that our visitors are used to.”
