It's important that children learn about their food. Farmer Jane Barnes is an advocate of educating children, and now offers dairy tours around their farm.
Having farmed in Somerby for around 70 years, the family moved just outside the village to build a brand new dairy farm in 2018, where they now have more than 250 cows, that are milked twice a day, and produce milk for the award winning Long Clawson Blue Stilton Cheese.
Their tours offer children the opportunity to see cows milking, feeding calves, bedding calves, tractor and trailer rides. And to top it all, there are Banana milkshakes and 'Cow' cookies to finish...what's not to love.
